Our Community Involvement
Wag-n-Splash is committed to the rescue community and we are always happy to donate a swim gift certificate to your silent auction, raffle, or other type of fundraiser. Please contact us with your event details, 501c3 info, and donation request.
Beyond the pet community, Wag-n-Splash is also committed to several local community and outreach groups. We love donations of in-kind goods or time. Please take a look at the list below and let us know if you would like to get involved.
Adopt A Highway:
Wag-n-Splash has adopted the 2-mile stretch of Dorchester Rd in front of the pool. Please sign up here to receive updates on future clean up events. The 2024 clean up dates will post soon.
Our goal is 10 volunteers for each date. Coffee and donuts served at check-in.
Lowcountry Blessing Box Project:
We are thrilled to host a Pet Food Blessing Box at the pool.
The mission behind the Blessing Box Project is simple. And our Pet Food Box is a "no judgement, take what you need, leave what you can, mini food pantry for pets". Donations of dry and wet dog and cat food are always accepted. Additional items like treats, toys, leashes, and bowls are nice too. We also accept open bags of food (if your pet is switching, didn't like it, etc), just bring those inside so we can re-bag them for freshness. Molly regularly distributes pet food to the other area Blessing Boxes as well to spread the love around.
Carolina Wildlife Rehabilitation Center:
Molly is the Board President of CWRC and a wildlife triager/rehabber. Currently we have rehabbers in Charlotte, NC, Myrtle Beach, and Charleston. The main medical facility of CWRC is in Charlotte, NC but we are actively working towards moving our full operations to Myrtle Beach, SC where the need is the greatest (don't worry, Molly isn't going anywhere). Molly mainly accepts turtles and snakes, along with bats and limited small mammals. The Center is always in need of donations to support the animals in our care. Most animals spend months with us before they are able to be released back to the home territories. Ask Molly for more info or visit cwrcwildlife.org to find out how you can help!
